David started his professional career as an architect working for two of Detroit’s most-prestigious architectural firms, where he ultimately carved out a specialization as a LEED® Accredited Professional (specialist in environmentally sustainable building design, construction and management), managing the LEED designation/certification of several of the largest construction projects in Michigan during the time. Outside of work, he was very active in professional non-profits leading architectural preservation efforts and championing legislative reform for architecturally related laws.

In 2010, his passion for architecture, buildings and community development led him into real estate, where he has developed a niche taking on more complicated projects and land acquisitions.

In 2021, David and his family relocated to Traverse City in order to provide his young twins an opportunity to grow up – not just vacation – in a uniquely special place.

David, a Michigan native, holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and City/Regional Planning from The Ohio State University, a Master of Architecture, and a Master of Business Administration from Lawrence Technological University, and is a practicing licensed Real Estate Broker and Registered Architect in the State of Michigan.
